Tom Cornish wins 15km scratch event at Cyclefest


A big crowd at the Kevin Brogden Memorial Velodrome was treated to a thrilling finish in the 15km men's scratch event at Cyclefest Bundaberg last night.

World junior sprint champion Tom Cornish from Sydney edged out a strong challenge by Japanese riders after being 50 metres behind New Zealand young gun Corbin Strong with two laps to go.

The action continues at the velodrome today, with live video coverage on the Cycling Australia Facebook page.

Tomorrow the Bargara Beach Triathlon takes centre stage.
