From corporate conferences, training seminars, private parties, wedding receptions and more, The Waves function team know all about hosting a great event.
Recently, the hard-working staff were acknowledged for their efforts, receiving accolades for Best Event Facilities and Services in the Clubs Queensland Awards For Excellence 2019.
Functions coordinator Lauren Cheers said the award was a first for the team and she expressed her thanks to the many people who had made it possible.
“I’d firstly like to thank our clients and their repeated patronage,” she said.
“I’d also like to thank our functions and catering teams, our catering manager David Frost and our executive chef Glenn Whitehurst and his incredible team.”
Miss Cheers said The Waves was proud of its concierge-level of service for its functions and catering and said hosting a well-organised event was all about listening to the needs of those involved.
“We work with our clients from an initial meeting right through to hands-on execution of the event,” she said.
“Understanding that the client wishes for something memorable or professional, then providing them that is what makes a great event.”
The prestigious award was one of several the popular venue took home in the recently staged awards.
The Waves was also judged Best Club Wide Bay.
