Bundaberg’s Chemist Warehouse has been named the pharmacy giant’s 2019 Queensland Store of the Year.

Managing partner, pharmacist Graham Bunter, said it was a significant achievement for the Bourbong Street store to win the coveted title.

“There are 85 Chemist Warehouse stores in Queensland, metropolitan and regional, so it was great to be recognised by head office and our peers,” Mr Bunter said.

“Our dedicated team of about 60 locals have worked incredibly hard in the past 12 months, ensuring a smooth transition when we outgrew our old shop and relocated a few doors down into the Best and Less building.

“We undergo regular inspections from head office, they send in mystery shoppers and we have important standards and targets to meet. I’m proud of the high level of customer service our staff provide.

“We provided more than 2000 flu vaccinations this year and, with the help of the Bundaberg community we made significant contributions to Chemist Warehouse’s national fundraising campaigns for charity.”

Mr Bunter said he bought into the business in 2014, and now enjoyed raising his three children in Bundaberg with his wife Nicole.

“We are grateful for the support of Bundaberg residents,” he said.

“We wish all our loyal Bundaberg customers a happy New Year and a healthy 2020.

“We look forward to continuing to serve the Bundaberg community next year.”
