Mayor’s 2020 vision for Bundaberg Region

2020 vision
Bundaberg Region Mayor Jack Dempsey’s wishlist for 2020.

What do you wish for the Bundaberg Region in 2020? For Mayor Jack Dempsey it’s rain, safe roads and work starting on the new hospital.

Writing on his Facebook page this morning, Mayor Dempsey released his 2020 vision.

His wishlist comprises:

  • The State Government and Opposition both commit to rebuild Paradise Dam;
  • Work starts on the new Bundaberg Hospital;
  • Rainfall returns to normal (but not too much);
  • Nobody dies on Bundaberg Region roads.

The Mayor also added that he hopes Queensland wins State of Origin.

Tell us your wishlist in the comments.

Happy New Year everybody! Here's my wishlist for the first year of the 20s:

  1. I would like to see people to start caring for and appreciating our town. Every day I pick up litter thrown out of cars or see things dumped in the bush. And every day I hear or read someone complaining about Bundaberg. Look at the rest of Australia, ridiculously high temps, fires, skyrocketing house prices, traffic and overcrowding. I have lived all over the world and I can tell you there are far worse places. We really live in a great place, start to enjoy it, and tell everyone else how great it is!

  2. I agree with Lorraine.
    We have a nice town. Pretty gardens and roundabouts.
    Shop owners need to look to their shopfronts. New signage and lick of paint wouldn’t go amiss on many of them.
