People of all ages will be getting creative at The Twenties Avant-garde Art Day this Saturday at Hinkler Hall of Aviation.

The Art Day is part of the Twenties Art and Design Exhibition, which is on until Sunday 5 April at Hinkler Hall of Aviation.

Exhibition curator Trudie Leigo said it will be a great day.

“Artists and poets will be on hand to guide people of all ages through sessions in collage, nonsensical poetry, silent film and other activities,” she said.

“It’s free to attend and we’re encouraging everyone to come along to Hinkler Hall of Aviation this Saturday to join in the art fun inspired by the experimental and radical 1920s era.”

Dada poetry activity table lots of fun

Annette Tyson and Sam Ephraims will be running a Dada poetry activity table, which was a huge hit at the Opening Night of the Exhibition.

“The Dada poetry activity table will involve all ages cutting up words from newspapers and gluing them to make poetry,” Trudie said.

“The adults dressed in their 20’s finery had a great time choosing words from the newspapers, cutting them up and gluing them to make some very creative poetry and we’re sure families will love it too.”

Creative collages part of the free fun
