Ingredients
– 3 cups of self-raising flour
– pinch of salt
– half a cup of sugar
– 1 tablespoon of butter
– 1 cup of mashed pumpkin
– 1 egg
– milk
Method for Grandma’s pumpkin scones
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add egg then pumpkin,
Sift in the flour alternately with enough milk to make a soft, light dough.
Pat out on a floured board.
Cut with round cutter.
Place on a greased and floured tray, brush with milk.
Bake in hot oven until cooked.
