Last weekend Darryl Austin represented Burnett Bowls Club when competing in the State Champion of Champion Singles playoff in Mackay and acquitted himself very well. In Game 1 Darryl played young gun Kane Nelson from Belmont Services (Brisbane) and was defeated 25-14. In game 2 Darryl played the eventual winner Cohen Litfin (Jindalee) and won an exciting game 25-23 while playing some great bowls. In Game 3 which was livestreamed, he lost in a close game to Ray Kurtz (Mackay) 25-20 with both players playing some outstanding draw bowls. Well done Crusty!
