Social bowls was still played across the region at the weekend even though the recent wet weather threatened some games.

Tuesday 30th November: Open Pairs $200 Guaranteed Prizemoney – 1pm start. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm

Wednesday night 1st December: Scroungers – 6.30pm start, names before 6.00pm. This is a fun game of singles similar to consistency singles, played in groups of 3 or 4 per rink over 12 ends. Green fees are $5, and 50 percent of green fees will be returned as prizemoney. Everyone welcome.

Thursday night 2nd December: 6.30pm Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the “Pick the Joker Jackpot” which will be $511+ this week. Visitors and those who want to try bowls for the first time will be made very welcome. Names before 6.00pm, start at 6.30pm.

Friday 3rd December: Open Pairs – $200 Prizemoney Guaranteed. 1.00pm start – Names before 12.00pm. Green fees paid by 12.45pm. Plus the Jackpot will be $60.

Saturday 18th December: (following the AGM) 1pm start – CHRISTMAS BREAK-UP DAY – Sponsored by the Whalley Family. Open 2 bowl Triples with 18 hams as prizes – Winners, Runners Up and Sportsman on each green. Free BBQ after the game. Everyone welcome.

The refreshed Bistro hours are as follows – Monday – Closed, Tuesday 11.30am – 2.30pm, Wednesday 11.30am – 2.30pm & then 4.30pm- 8.30pm, Thursday 11.30am – 2.30pm & 4.30pm – 8.30pm, Friday 11.30am – 2.30pm & 4.30pm – 8.30pm, Saturday 11.30am – 2.30pm & 4.30pm – 8.30pm. Sunday – Closed. Check out their Facebook page “Crackerjack Bistro” for menu details and pricing. Obviously, there is now a lunchtime menu and opportunities for takeaways.

The Goose Club raffle and Swannies raffle will be drawn Friday at 7.00pm with the chance to win some cash and multiple prizes.

Entertainment for Friday night 3rd December will be The Other Bloke and for Friday the 10th December will be Bradz, so come along, bring some friends to enjoy a great meal and some live entertainment.

* We intend holding Night Bowls every Friday in January starting with a sausage sizzle at 4.45pm. Play should get underway by 6pm and conclude around 9pm. Anyone who would like to give bowls a try will be most welcome. Bowls available to use on the night.
