Childers residents, both young and old, are being encouraged to visit the COVID-19 vax van when it visits the region this month.
Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service will have the drop-in COVID-19 vaccination van set up at Childers Showground on Friday, 11 March between 9 am and 3 pm, and again on Saturday, 12 March between 8 am and 2.30 pm.
The COVID-19 vax van will offer only the Pfizer vaccine at this location during these dates.
Children as young as 5 who are eligible to receive their vaccination can attend. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Community members aged 16 or older who have had their second COVID-19 vaccine three or more months ago, can also take the opportunity to have their booster.
No appointment is needed. It is recommended to have something to eat beforehand and ensure you are hydrated before your vaccine.
