As the sun sets over Lake Redbrook, the sounds of David De Vito and The Leading Men will take over to entertain guests as part of the popular Opera by the Lake event.
Featured as part of the Childers Festival program, the event will be hosted on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with guests treated to live music in a relaxed setting overlooking Lake Redbrook.
Local refreshments and wines will be served on site for guests to enjoy, setting the scene for a wonderful afternoon ahead of a busy festival day on Sunday.
Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said this event was a great lead up to the festival day, encouraging people to book their ticket and sit back and relax.
“It is not every day you can witness the banks of Lake Redbrook transform into a beautiful, picnic styled affair for Opera by the Lake,” Cr Learmonth said.
“It is fantastic to see a number of local businesses come together to bring this event to life including Lake Redbrook Holiday Retreat and local wineries.”
The two-hour performance will showcase a fusion of musical genres featuring the beautiful operatic sounds of David De Vito combined with the musical stylings of The Leading Men as they pay homage to musical theatre and superb Broadway shows to the delight of the crowd.
