At a chunky 30 kilos, Phoenix needs an active family who can let him join in the fun.

Phoenix is a three-year-old mixed breed dog looking for a new home to call his own, available for adoption from Red Collar Rescue.

He loves to race around with his toys, and will happily entertain himself while your busy.

At a chunky 30 kilos, this boy needs an active family who can let him join in the fun.

He has recently undergone heartworm treatment, but is now healed and healthy and looking for love.

His enforced sedentary lifestyle of the last few months has put a few extra kilos on his frame, however a few long walks should see to that.

He is fine with most dogs he meets, although will need to get used to being out of a shelter environment for a while to really see him settle down to his true self.

He is vaccinated, desexed, and wormed.

You can adopt him for $400 with more information available here.

Red Collar Rescue garage sale

Red Collar Rescue are also holding a Red collar Rescue Warehouse Garage Sale this Saturday, 2 July to raise funds to support the not for profit organisation.

A large portion of raised funds are being used to build a new animal shelter closer to Bundaberg in Redridge, complete with a carers cottage.

The remainder is used to vet, desex and care for abandoned dogs and rehome.

The support of the community during these events save lives of countless abandoned animals who then have the opportunity to find their forever homes.

You can find out more about the fundraiser here.
