Did you know you can check for your lost pet on the Bundaberg Regional Council website, as photos of all impounded animals are updated daily?
While Council makes every attempt to identify an animal’s owner and reunite them quickly, this is not always possible.
If the animal is wearing a Council registration tag or is microchipped we can often drop your pet back to your home that day!
Dropping your pet home reduces impounding costs and means you don’t need to stress about a lost and much-loved pet.
Note: a non microchipped dog is $30 dearer to register and $30 dearer to get it released from the pound.
It is the law in Queensland that all dogs are registered and all dogs and cats are microchipped.
Where possible, Council tries to rehome all the dogs and cats impounded.
If you lose your pet, check each day on Council’s website for all impounded animals.
