APOD promotes veteran friendly region

APOD
APOD delivers everyday savings to over 120,000 defence and veteran families in partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Bundaberg Region businesses are being encouraged to get involved in Australian Partners of Defence (APOD), a membership-based platform founded by defence families for defence families.

The federally-funded program is the official Veteran Card discount provider and since 2012, has given businesses of all sizes a way to recognise the service and sacrifice of Australian military families by delivering exclusive benefits on a secure, closed member website.

APOD delivers everyday savings to over 120,000 defence and veteran families in partnership with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

In the Bundaberg Region alone, the 2021 Census revealed 4.5 per cent of residents served in the Australian Defence Force, compared to 3.8 per cent for Queensland.

“One in 20 Australian families have someone who has served in the defence force,” an APOD spokesperson said.

“It is our mission to make defence recognition mainstream by assisting businesses to connect and give back directly with the defence community.”

Bundaberg businesses encouraged to sign up for APOD

APOD recognises and rewards defence and veteran families by providing access to discounts and other benefits from business partners to positively impact their lives.

“We bridge the gap between businesses and the defence community by providing a ‘one stop shop’ for defence members, veterans, and their families,” the APOD spokesperson said.

“This platform provides secure verification and advanced search functions to connect members with your exclusive offers. “
