Expressions of interest are invited for events to be included in Council's Christmas Program.

The festive season is fast approaching and Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting local businesses to help spread the joy as part of its annual Christmas program.

With this year’s Christmas events program set to run throughout December, a Christmas Program Event Host expression of interest form is now available.

While the Council events are yet to be announced, in recent years Merry and Bright at the Botanic Gardens and the bauble dining event in the CBD have been highlights of the program.

Council Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said any local businesses or groups hosting a Christmas event were welcome to share the details with the events team for consideration to be included in the program.

“Every year our Christmas events prove very popular,” Cr Learmonth.

“Christmas is a time for family and friends to celebrate the year that was and our jam-packed December events program provides plenty of opportunities to do so.

“This year we are accepting applications for any community led events held from December 1 right up until Christmas Eve on December 24.

He said expressions of interest could now be lodged for community-hosted events which would complement Council’s major events on the program.

“If you’ve been planning a festive season event we would encourage you to complete the Christmas Program Event Host expressions of interest form online and add it to the official Christmas program.

“Anything from dining events to carols and craft are welcome.”

Christmas Program Event Host expressions of interest close on Friday 21 October.

Complete the online form now.

The Christmas program is set to launch in November for a fun-filled festive season in the lead up to Christmas.
