Nominations are being called for the upcoming Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, which is set to recognise the achievements and successes of local businesses at the end of this month.
The event, to be held on 26 November at Brothers Sports Club, is a showcasing of triumphs, contributions to the community, innovation, business excellence and more.
President Tim Sayre said it was also an opportunity to acknowledge the regions’ businesspeople.
“After the last few years, we just want to celebrate business and we know Bundaberg has some great businesses that deserve to be celebrated,” Mr Sayre said.
Businesses can either be nominated through a third party or can self-nominate at www.bundabergchamber.com.au by this Friday.
“What’s important to the Chamber and to our independent judges is why your business should be selected as the best in your category, or why you are the Bundaberg Region’s Business of the Year,” Tim said.
Bundaberg Regional Council has been a strong supporter of the awards and is once again back on board as a category sponsor of the event.
Organisational services portfolio spokesperson Cr Steve Cooper said he was looking forward to a great event.
“The Business Excellence Awards is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the amazing work that is being undertaken by local businesses,” he said.
“It’s a time to reflect on the challenges that many in the community have faced but is also a chance to celebrate the success stories and to look forward to a positive road ahead.
“We have a thriving business community that is worthy of acknowledgement, and I look forward to celebrating the many achievements of our local people.”
The Chamber of Commerce Business of Excellence Awards is sponsored by BOQ Bundaberg, Bundaberg Regional Council, Bundaberg Tourism and Bundaberg Today.
Tickets for this night of glamour are still available, but selling fast, so book your tickets before you miss out at www.bundabergchamber.com.au.
