Singers, dancers, bands, jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians and more are being invited to submit an expressions of interest form to take part in next year's Childers Festival.
With a crowd of thousands converging to the region in July each year to celebrate the festival, performers of all skillsets are needed to keep event-goers entertained.
Last year local musician Mark Lavendar performed on festival day with his band Knee Deep and said it was a fantastic event to be part of.
“Our five-piece band played right after Kate Ceberano, which was a big act to follow, but it was fantastic, and the crowd was huge,” he said.
“The atmosphere and vibe were great, people danced, and it was just a really good afternoon.
“We were very honoured to be part of the festival.”
Mark said the 2023 expressions of interest was a great opportunity for local entertainers to be part of one of the region's biggest events on the calendar.
“We need to spread the word on the amount of talent we have here in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay,” he said.
“We have such a huge, dynamic talent pool so if we can get some more locals out at the Childers Festival, it would be absolutely fantastic.”
The Childers Festival will be held from 27 to 30 July in 2023.
