The Gin Gin Creek rest area now features a caravan waste dump point in a safe and convenient position available for community and traveller use.
Bundaberg Regional Council relocated the infrastructure this year after accessibility issues with the previous dump point.
Located near the bulk water fill station, access was limited due to sharing the area with heavy vehicles.
Relocating to the rest area has made the facility more accessible and safer for caravaners.
The project included the installation of a new potable water supply, caravan waste point and an upgrade to the roadways in the area.
