The Bundaberg Junior Tenpin Representative Team will head to the Sunshine Coast this weekend to compete in the Ken Mills Kup.
The 10 junior participants will form two teams to compete in 17 games to contest the title against teams ranging from as far north as Rockhampton and as far south as Tweed Heads.
The competition was established in 2004 in memory of Ken Mills and will take place over two days at the Sun City Tenpin Centre at Alexandra Headlands.
Bundaberg Junior Tenpin Girls’ Coach Rachael Sommer said the team was excited to take part.
“With the most recent competition, the Bundaberg Masters, having been held earlier this month, there were some fantastic performances from team members who will now take part in the Ken Mills Kup,” Rachael said.
“These bowlers will be looking forward to new personal bests, 200 games to play and most of all, new experiences.”
Sommer said the Bundaberg team would be welcoming Katie Raymond and Tate McCulkin to the side and that the competition would also be the final opportunity for junior veteran Tanika Mason to compete before she moves to the senior ranks in 2024.
