Birthamba Road upgrade works

Birthamba road upgrade
Bundaberg Regional Council will be completing an intersection upgrade at Paynes Road and Birthamba Road, South Kolan.

Bundaberg Regional Council will be completing an intersection upgrade at Paynes Road and Birthamba Road, South Kolan, as highlighted in yellow on the map above.

Road closures will be in place for Birthamba Road from Raines Road to Paynes Road, as highlighted in red on the map above.

Detours will be in place via Ten Mile Road and Lew Crosswell Road, as highlighted in orange and appropriate signage will be in place to guide motorists.

This intersection upgrade is part of stage two of the safety improvement roadworks along Birthamba Road.

Work is planned to commence late October 2023 and will be undertaken weekdays, during the hours of 6 am and 5 pm.

Weather permitting, work will be completed by late November 2023.

During construction, the area will be subject to traffic management measures.

Bundaberg Regional Council is aware of the inconvenience construction work causes and thanks residents and road users in advance for their patience and co-operation.

  1. This is a huge inconvenience to us who work locally. And extra 15 ks for every work day, double that for a split shift. The work near the tip is taking forever,but at least there’s one lane open. Why close off such a small length of road completely
