How to: find out about the Christmas program

2023 Christmas program
Bundaberg children Evan Minett, Zoe Taylor, Gwen and Stella Minett met with Mayor Jack Dempsey to spread the cheer at the launch of the 2023 Christmas program.

Christmas season celebrations in the Bundaberg Region feature a number of key Council events, complimented by community-led celebrations.

There are 28 events in total for the 2023 Christmas program which is happening right up until 22 December.

The Christmas program begins with the Pageant of Lights on Thursday 30 November, which will see a dazzling parade of Christmas floats fill Bourbong Street in Bundaberg CBD.

Come along to see the official lighting of the spectacular Christmas lights, and enjoy family-friendly fun, market stalls, and roving entertainment.

Christmas in the Precinct, on Saturday 9 December, is a free, festive extravaganza with first class entertainment, festive food, Mumma’s Nest Markets, activities, rides, jumping castle and Ferris wheel at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct.

Special guest Santa will visit with his real-life reindeer but watch out for the mischievous Grinch who may also make an appearance.

Both Pageant of Lights and Christmas in the Precinct are free events with no tickets or bookings required.

Drive-in Christmas movies will play at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, Childers Showgrounds, and Gin Gin Sports and Recreation Ground, with tickets on sale from Friday 10 November.

Events are planned across the region, including the Childers Mingle and Jingle Street Party on Thursday 7 December, A Moore Park Beach Christmas on Saturday 16 December, and a Cookie Decorating Workshop at Gin Gin on Monday 11 December.
