Tuesday 16 April: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.
Wednesday 17 April: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15 pm with games starting at 6.30 pm. Green fees are $10 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prize money. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 18 April: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30 pm, names in by 6 pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which will be $328+ this week. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 19 April: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.

Coming events
Sunday 21 April: Free BBQ for all players that participated in the Wide Bay Bowls Classic. Come along and have a game of bowls starting at 1 pm with the BBQ starting at about 1.30 pm – you can eat while playing.

Special General Meeting
The Management Committee of Burnett Bowls Club has called a Special General Meeting to be held at the Club on Saturday 18 May at 10.00 am. All members are requested to attend.

Please Note: New club opening hours are as follows – Monday (club closed), Tuesday 11 am – 5.30 pm, Wednesday 11.30 am – 9 pm, Thursday 4.30 pm – 9 pm, Friday 11 am – 9.30 pm, Saturday 11 am – 6 pm (10 pm for functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9 am – 2 pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night 19 April at 7 pm – Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased during the week from the Bar staff or on Friday night. There are 15 great prizes to be won – you need to be in it to win it! Proceeds from the raffle help to support your club.
The Member’s Draw will also be held on Friday night 19 April and stands at $910, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
There will be live entertainment on Friday 19 April presented by ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday 26 April entertainment will be provided by ‘Bradz Rock N Rhythm'. Members, guests, and visitors are always welcome.

Wednesday 10 April: Mens Day, another beautiful day weather wise, slight cooling in the air – ’winter is coming!!’

Thursday 11 April: Oyster and Fee’s Day: Exciting day today as we had social bowls as well as a game in the Open Ladies Pairs Competition. Last years winners Fiona Dowling and Jane Herd-Evans again proved to be a force to be reckoned with having a win over Marilyn Mullins and Daphne Brettell. Thanks to Rob Anderson who stood as Umpire for the day.

Saturday 13 April: Jackpot pairs: Another great day out on the green today, weather perfect, the extreme heat seems to have passed and winter (as we know it!) hasn’t yet begun! The green was running to perfection as well, great work Aaron!

Sunday 14 April: What a day we had today on our green, two semi final games in the mixed fours and what games they were! Both games had to play an extra end to achieve a result and in each case with a margin of only one point! First to finish was Team Strano having a win over Team Taylor 20/19. Next came Team Nuttall with a win over Team Cornish 21/20. Let me give you the heads up, the final between Team Strano and Team Nuttall will be a corker!
