Competition: The draws for the Open Triples, Mixed Pairs & Mixed Fours have been completed and are now on the competition boards, Members are asked to check the draw and to start arranging games by mutual agreement where possible. Competitions can now be played on a Sunday afternoon on QRI Bowls days. The next two QRI Sundays are Sunday May 19 and Sunday May 26.

Tuesday 23 April: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.
Wednesday 24 April: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15 pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $10 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prize money. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 25 April: Anzac Day. The Bowls Club will be open from 1 pm with Bowls commencing at 1.30 pm. There is a sheet at the Club to nominate. The game will be 3 bowl open Pairs with $350 prize money up for grabs. Ma’s Crackerjack Bistro will be open from 1pm, so come along and support your Club and have a great day out. Visitors from other Clubs are most welcome. Any members that know someone that may be interested in playing, please make them aware that the game is on.
Night Bowls – there will be no night bowls on Thursday 25 April (Anzac Day).

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING: the Management Committee of Burnett Bowls Club has called a Special General Meeting to be held at the Club on Saturday the 18 of May at 10 am. All members are requested to attend.

Please Note: NEW Club opening hours are as follows – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 11am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11.30am – 9pm, Thursday 4.30pm – 9pm, Friday 11am – 9.30pm, Saturday 11am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm. This Thursday (Anzac Day) the Club will be open from 1pm -5.30pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night 26 April at 7 pm – Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased during the week from the Bar staff or on Friday night. There are 15 great prizes to be won – you need to be in it to win it! Proceeds from the raffle help to support your Club.
The Member’s Draw will also be held on Friday night 26 April and stands at $930, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
There will be live entertainment on Friday 26 April presented by Bradz Rock N Rhythm and the following Friday 3 May entertainment will be provided by ‘The Other Bloke’. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.

Both semi finals and the final to be played next Saturday at the Bundaberg Club. Woodgate to play Burnett. Brothers to play Bargara. Semi final Winners to play in the afternoon final.
Todays games were played in difficult conditions, light rain falling during play! We are all proud of how our team of local bowlers represented our club.
Only one game of social triples played, called off mid afternoon due to wet conditions! Sunday social bowls have been cancelled due to the weather! Ladies Open Pairs semi finals are postponed to a later date.
