The Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre has a range of upcoming activities for the community to get involved in.
Creatives can join the fun with Mel’s Craft and Chat sessions as well as Sophie’s Watercolour Workshops.
Other highlights include National Simultaneous Storytime, a Domestic and Family Violence BBQ and Family Frolics Fun Day for under eights.
Mel’s Crafter in Residence Workshops—Craft & Chat
Join our Crafter in Residence, Mel to create, have fun, learn new craft skills and make friends in a relaxed environment.

Sophie’s Watercolour Workshops
This workshop is for all levels of experience, with Sophie sharing basic watercolour painting techniques to help you get started to let your creativity flow.
Adults and Children:

Adults Only:
Every Tuesday – Adults Only 10 am – 12 Noon

Sophie’s weekly Watercolour Workshops have been popular with both adults and children. We are now trialling an Adults only Watercolour Workshop.
Participants have said that this session is extremely relaxing, fun and a great place to socialise and meet new people.
National Simultaneous Storytime
Join thousands of others all around Australia with a reading of Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker at 12 Noon.
There will also be a variety of activities exploring bowerbirds, UV light and the colour blue presented by Tamara Kelly.

Domestic and Family Violence BBQ
The whole community is invited to show support and access information about the prevention of Domestic and Family Violence by attending a Free BBQ.
There will be service providers spreading information and referral pathways at the BBQ.

Family Frolics Fun Day
Gin Gin Family Frolics is held by the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre and Child and Family Support to promote the importance of learning in the early years of a child’s life.
The event is held during National Families Week with the theme of ‘Celebrating Family Diversity and Connections’.
We will be celebrating families in all their diversity and promote their capacities and resilience in creating strong, safe and connected communities.
The event is held for children 0-8 years and their families and includes indoor and outdoor play activities, entertainment and information.
