The ever-popular Hill of Promise Long Table Dinner will be a culinary delight as local winemakers Terrance and Mary Byrne pour pride and passion into the evening for the 2024 Childers Festival.
Guests will find themselves nestled in between the barrels at the local winery as they enjoy a sumptuous dinner course paired with award-winning and preservative-free wines.
Mary said the evening would start with a glass of 3 Marys bubbly and tasty appetisers as guests enjoy the ambience of the working winery.
“It’s winter and it’s cold, there’s an excuse to get dressed up a little, there’s a dinner with a menu based on local produce, wines made with pride, passion and tradition,” she said.
“Often you are seated along some very gracious fellow dinner guests surrounded by the ambience of a working winery.
“What more can you ask for!”
Mary said each year the Childers Festival was a highlight for the local community and she was looking forward to sharing this year’s event with the Long Table Dinner guests.
“Childers Festival has a huge reputation, well-earned over decades now, for vibrancy and celebration of music, heritage and community,” Mary said.
“The Bollywood theme is a first for Saturday night, which has grown in popularity.”
Hill of Promise Long Table Dinner tickets are $80 each and will include a two-course meal featuring delicious, seasonal produce matched perfectly with a drop made by a local who proudly boasts of his Sicilian ancestry.
