Be Active Be Alive is back with free exercise classes for everyone at pools, parks and venues across the region.
Bundaberg Regional Council’s popular fitness program kicks off tomorrow with 189 classes scheduled across nine weeks.
Council’s Community Liveability, Sport and Recreation portfolio spokesperson Councillor Carmen McEneany said there were plenty of great options available.
“Be Active Be Alive is always popular with community members and we’re excited to announce round one of the 2025 program,” Cr McEneany said.
“These free group classes offer something for everyone and are a wonderful way to get out, get moving and meet people.”
This year’s program includes gym-based classes like Uplift and Ausercise, as well as outdoor favourites like Spin Combo, Carnival Fitness and pickleball.
There are also aqua-aerobics classes at Norville Park Pool, Kepnock SHS Pool, Isis War Memorial Pool and Gin Gin Swimming Pool.
“The fifth week of the program has a bumper schedule, with 38 free classes running as the pools program enters its final week and classes at parks and other venues get underway.
“Some of the classes will also be operating at slightly different times so I would encourage everyone to check the program carefully and stay informed about program updates.
“While small entry fees apply at local pools, everything else is free and no prior registrations are required, so it’s really easy to just come along and join in.”
The Be Active Be Alive program is available here.
