Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal to reduce the number of Councillors from 10 to 8 divisional Councillors plus the Mayor.
This proposed change would save ratepayers $265,000 per year or $1,060,000 per four-year term.
How to complete the survey:
- Visit the Our Bundaberg Region website
- Sign up or sign in if you have already registered
- Select the Proposed change to Local Government Arrangements project
- Click ‘take survey’
Survey submissions will close at 5 pm AEST on Friday 30 May 2025.

oh Ashley, you must think that everyone follows the council web site. I shore as hell don’t. Did you not know that one very recent deceased lady had not used a computer for a number of years. You will get old one day and wonder why there is a bad attitude by youngsters, and i have noticed that being said elsewhere. No doubt someone will question the legality of this restricted method of information gathering. FYI, i just sent some information to Victorian Genealogy about a man who died in Bundaberg over 20 years ago. He came from Kensington, not Bundaberg, but the Melbourne area. Fortunately i had some knowledge of this man. Paddy’s Island, what a joke and a bad attitude by some!
