They’re the boys from Simply Bushed and they’re back in town performing for a good cause at Agrotrend on Saturday.

The Sydney-based country music band is the headline act at the BUSHkids BUSHdance from 1.30pm to 4pm Saturday, 11 May at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct as part of Agrotrend 2019.

Chair of Friends of BUSHkids Bundaberg Judy Peters said it would be a great afternoon for all the family.

“Enjoy a stroll around the Agrotrend site and then join us at the BUSHdance for some bootscootin’ fun,” Ms Peters said.

“Come along and listen to some great country music. Leading in to Simply Bushed we will also have some local country music talent.

“Simply Bushed are known for their participation in fundraising for family orientated not-for-profit organisations.”

BUSHkids support families with children aged 0 – 6 that require occupational or speech therapy and provide developmental services for children with special needs.

Ms Peters said all funds raised from the event would support the BUSHkids Bundaberg Service Centre and the region at large.

“What we’re looking at is improving the sensory equipment and expanding the Learn and Grow and the Steady Start to School programs.

“The Learn and Grow program is all about sitting down and reading and learning about literacy, colour and sound.

“The Steady Start to School program helps to prepare children for the many challenges that will be faced when they begin school.

“It could include things like being away from mum and dad, needing to sit down quietly and getting your lunch out of your lunchbox.”

Support for families

She said BUSHkids provided a vital service to local families.

“We support not only the child but the families.

“It gives families an opportunity to establish a quality of life for the entire family to enjoy. It gives support to parents and caregivers when it’s needed most.”

Entry to Agrotrend is $10 for adults, a gold coin for pensioners and free for children under the age of 15.
