Bargara tops regional rainfall totals with 33mm

Bargara has received 33mm of rain since 9am Wednesday but falls have generally been lighter in other parts of the Bundaberg Region.

Thursday's forecast is for a very high chance of showers, tending to rain at times.

The weather outlook suggests more rain over the next few days, with falls of 4-20mm predicted on Saturday and Sunday.

Across the state, there's a high to very high chance of rain areas, showers and a few thunderstorms extending eastwards across much of central and eastern Queensland.

Locally moderate to heavy falls are possible about parts of the interior. Showers and thunderstorms will continue over northern and eastern Queensland in the moist and unstable air mass with some locally heavy falls possible.

Patchy rain areas should break to showers about the southeast during the day. Cool conditions will persist over much of the interior of the state.
