Easter and Anzac Day hours for Council services

With the Easter long weekend and Anzac Day public holiday just around the corner, some Bundaberg Regional Council services may be affected. Many Council facilities will be closed and others will alter their opening hours for the public holidays on 19, 22 and 25 April.

Council Service Centres, Bundaberg Regional Libraries and the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day. Other Council facilities detailed below will have amended hours over the public holidays.

Waste management facilities

Waste Management Facility operations will continue as usual over the holiday period, however, waste facility shops will be closed on Good Friday.

Residents are reminded to put their wheelie bins out earlier than usual. If your bin collection date falls on Friday 19 April, Monday 22 April or Thursday 25 April, Council recommends taking your bin out the night before.

Hinkler Hall of Aviation

Closed on Good Friday and open 10am to 3pm on Easter Monday and Anzac Day public holidays.

Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery (BRAG)

Closed on Good Friday and open from 10am to 2pm on Easter Monday and Anzac Day.

Bundaberg Pound

Closed on Good Friday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day. There will be a staff member on call who can be contacted on 1300 883 699.

Public swimming pools

Gin Gin and Isis Memorial Swimming Pools will be closed on Good Friday, trading as normal on Saturday 20 April before closing for the season on Easter Monday. Norville Park pool will be closed on Good Friday but open from 9am to 5pm on Easter Monday and Anzac Day. Anzac Park Olympic Pool will be closed on Good Friday and Anzac Day but opening Easter Monday from 9am to 5pm.

Emergencies

For Council-related emergencies, call Council’s 1300 883 699 number. Residents will be provided with options to report an issue or make a request. This includes emergencies for immediate action or the option to leave a message which will be responded to during normal business hours.

Council encourages residents to utilise this facility should they require one of the following services over the upcoming public holidays:

  • Report an emergency that requires immediate attention by Council
  • Report an animal matter or request
  • Leave a general request that will be attended to on Council’s next working day
  • Obtain the location and opening hours of Waste Management Facilities across the region.
