Sweet melodies and beautiful sounds will fill The Playhouse Theatre and St Luke’s Anglican School from today as the Bundaberg Regional Eisteddfod 2019 music program begins.
The week-long event will see young musicians show off their skills in a multitude of categories including vocal, drums, singer/songwriter, guitar and more.
The Contemporary Music Eisteddfod section of the event will begin at 5.30pm tonight at St Luke’s Anglican School.
Adjudicator Marisa Lee Naismith will judge the talent throughout the evening.
Marisa has been a performer in the music industry for more than 45 years, performing predominantly in pop and rock styles. She is a singing teacher and voice researcher
The evening is followed by five days of performances for the music program at The Playhouse Theatre.
The music program will be adjudicated by Miguel Wu, a Taiwanese conductor, pianist and singer, who began studying music at the age of two and a half.
Miguel conducts vocal and band workshops and adjudicates competitions and auditions around Australia and overseas.
He operates and teaches a busy private music studio in Brisbane and has presented and hosted numerous prestigious competitions and concerts around Australia.
