Have you always wanted a career in the police force? A recruiting seminar will be held in Bundaberg soon.

Bundaberg Police are calling on future officers to join in on the next police recruiting seminar.

Anyone who has ever considered a career with the Queensland Police Service is encouraged to head along to the event on Wednesday, 31 July at the Bundaberg PCYC.

Sergeant Meg Owens and a number of local officers would be on hand to explain the selection and recruiting process, life at the academy, what it’s like training in your first year and the transfer processes once you are a fully sworn officer.

“You will also hear stories and real life accounts of policing jobs and experiences from a number of officers from various policing sections,” Sgt Owens said.

“To be eligible to apply as a police recruit, applicants must meet pre-application requirements which consist of health, integrity/conduct, residency, entrance examination, and driver licence requirements.

“There are only six spots left so be quick to ensure you don’t miss out.”

Bookings are essential.

Don't forget to bring ID and arrive 20 minutes early for security checks.
