Antonio Kaufusi looks forward to this week’s NRL Sunday blockbuster as the top four sides square off in a double-header, including his match of the round Raiders v Roosters.

There’s a serious dose of Sunday footy to look forward to this week as the top four sides square off in a big afternoon double-header.

That’s right, Canberra host the Roosters and the Storm take on the Rabbitohs on neutral ground in the central coast.

The last round of footy really sorted out the contenders from the pretenders.

Six of the eight favorites got up last week, but time is starting to run out for a handful of teams still fighting for a finals spot.

With the ladder far from set, expect plenty of upsets.

Sunday blockbuster delivers match of round

My match of the round is the high flying Raiders v Roosters, who look back to their best having now won three straight games.

One of these sides will move into outright second on the ladder, and as the odds suggest, it’s a very tough call.

The Roosters won 30-24 when these sides last met during Magic Round at Suncorp, but keep in mind, they haven’t won in Canberra since 2010.

You can expect Canberrans to turn out in full force for this game and make life tough for the visitors.

The Roosters haven’t traveled outside of Sydney in over a month, and after losing 14-12 in Adelaide against the Storm back in June, the chooks’ recent road form is questionable.

I’m backing the raiders to win a tight one at home.

Love the way the doggies are playing at the moment.

If a few ‘would be’ finals contenders had the tenacity in performance that Dean Pay’s team produced here, they would all still be in contention.

Doggies are going to keep teams honest in the run home for the finals. That is why I’m backing them to upset the Tigers who are sitting right in the eight position.

Quick Fact: Tom Trbojevic, still hasn’t lost a game this year either in club football or representative match. That’s a pretty handy stat.

Kaufusi’s Call Round 21:

Cowboys v Broncos
Warriors v Sea Eagles
Panthers v Sharks
Dragons v Titans
Eels v Knights
Bulldogs v Tigers
Raiders v Roosters
Rabbitohs v Storm
