Thirteen unique properties will open their doors to the public this Saturday for Open House Bundaberg, uncovering a hidden wealth of architecture, engineering and history by showcasing good design and curious spaces.
Saturday 24 August will be the fourth time the annual event is held at selected buildings around the Bundaberg Region.
Spend a memorable day out with your family and engage with Bundaberg’s built environment history through guided and self-guided tours.
A photography competition adds a new element to the event, revealing important buildings of the region through the eyes of the community.
Sponsored by Connor O’Meara Solicitors, a $500 prize is on offer for the winning open division entry and a further $200 prize for the winning entry of the junior division.
Take your camera or simply use your phone to focus on architecture and capture the cash prize!
The Bundaberg Post Office and The Generator will be the first buildings to open their doors at 8.30am, with the other properties to follow soon after. The full list of opening times can be viewed on the property map at the Open House Bundaberg webpage.
A printed souvenir program will also be available at the buildings on the day but get in early as these will not last.
Property details and opening times can also be viewed at the Open House Bundaberg Facebook Event page.
