Jewel Dana is young musician with a passion for making people smile and sing.
Playing live in Bundaberg for about five years now, Jewel started performing in high school, trained with a vocal coach and was lucky to be given many opportunities to perform in groups and as a solo.
Jewel Dana said performing live was a great feeling, especially when she could see her audience having a good time.
“I love seeing people sing along, nod their head or tap their foot while I sing,” she said.
“I also love watching people say ‘Oh I love this song’ and jam along with me.”
The musician said she loved to sing but said she aspired to become more proficient with her guitar so she could incorporate it into her performances in the future.
She said Miranda Lambert as by far one of her all-time favourite musicians.
“There is so much emotion in her music,” she said.
She also loves the music of her namesake, enjoying easy listening style and draws her inspiration from country music.
You can catch Jewel playing live at Club Bargara twilight markets from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday, 7 September. See her Facebook page here for more.
