Bulk water users now have the option of remote top ups for potable and non potable water at all bulk water sites – North Bundaberg, Bundaberg (University Drive), Kalkie, Childers, Gin Gin and Cordalba by contacting 1300 883 699 and quoting their tag number during Council business hours.
Council’s Water Portfolio Spokesperson Jason Bartels said this new feature is a result of Council’s improved customer focus and streamlining the process to access potable and non-potable water.
“Customers will only be required to supply their tag details over the phone when making payment,” he said.
“Customers still have the ability to pay and receive top-ups in person at the main administration building in Bundaberg until restrictions are lifted.
“Once the Childers and Gin Gin service centres reopen, this service shall resume from these centres, as well.”
Bulk water customers using Cordalba will continue to be able to access non-potable water at no charge, due to Sunwater’s free water release, which will continue until advised by Sunwater.
