Are you a hot-blooded Bundaberg Region farmer looking for love? Well, you’re in luck because Channel Seven is looking for you!
Applications are currently open for season 11 of the popular reality show Farmer Wants A Wife.
Producers told Bundaberg Now that never in the show's 12-year history has there been a farmer from Bundaberg featured on the program, which teams up single country guys with city girls.
“Farmer Wants A Wife has never had a farmer from Bundaberg before and whilst we won’t see the red dirt that you’ve seen in the show before, the guaranteed sunshine is the perfect juxtaposition to the remote farms in central Australia,” Farmer Casting Producers said.
“And Queenslanders are always desired when casting a TV show – they’re real honest and a lot of fun.”
With its rich, volcanic soil and perfect ratio of sunshine and rain, the Bundaberg Region has been farmed for generations, and there’s more than enough established farming families and characters mixed in.
The casting call on the show’s website says they're on the hunt for single Bundaberg farmers who are “ready to find their soulmate”.
The producers said the show's track record of nine marriages and 20 Aussie farmer babies was a testament to that motto.
“This is not only Australia’s original love show, it’s also the best — by a country mile,” Farmer Casting Producers said.
“The farmers can expect to be meeting more eligible women in a day than they’ve probably met in years.
“They can expect to choose the women who apply for them and they are in charge of who they choose to continue every stage with.
“They must be ready to be open, vulnerable at times and be open – their ideal woman might not be the one they think.”
Applications close soon, but before you apply you must meet these criteria:
- Must also be over the age of 21, single and genuinely looking for love.
- Must agree to having production crews and contestants living on their farm for the duration of the shoot.
- Farming must be a part of their current income/lifestyle
- Do not have to be the owner of a farm but must have a connection to the farm.
