Council facilities and offices will close for the Christmas and New Year holiday, here’s the list of what’s open and when.

Council’s administration buildings will be closed from 4.45 pm on Thursday 24 December, reopening at 8.15 am on Monday 4 January 2021.

Urgent enquiries relating to things like water leaks, damage of public infrastructure or nuisance animals can still be reported by calling 1300 883 699.

For non-urgent enquiries an option of leaving a voice message is available which will be attended too once Council is open.

Alexandra Park Zoo will maintain its current open hours of Wednesday to Sunday from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm throughout the holiday period and will only close on Christmas Day.

Galleries in Bundaberg and Childers will close at 1 pm on Christmas Eve, reopening at 9.30 am and 9 am respectively on January 4.

Libraries will also be closed throughout the festive season with specific open hours as follows:

Bundaberg
Close: 5 pm Thu 24 Dec 2020

Gin Gin
Close: 4.45pm Thu 24 Dec 2020
Open: 8.15am Mon 4 Jan 2021

Childers
Close: 5 pm Thu 24 Dec 2020
Open: 9 am Mon 4 Jan 2021

Woodgate:
Close: 2 pm Wed 23 Dec 2020
Open: 10 am Wed 6 Jan 2021

The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre will close on Christmas Eve reopening on January 4.

All Council waste facilities will operate as usual throughout the holiday period with the exception of Christmas Day.

Only the University Drive Waste Facility will be open on December 25, operating from 7 am to 12 pm.
