High demand for its mini can range has led to Bundaberg Brewed Drinks adding their top three brews — passionfruit, lemon lime and bitters and pink grapefruit – to the line up.
The iconic Australian-owned business has extended the 200mL offering due to high consumer demand and strong sales growth in their ginger beer mini cans.
Research over the past 18 months has shown a global rise in consumers looking for treat-sized drinks.
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks observed this emerging trend throughout 2020, where a shift in consumer behaviour resulted in a record 1.3 million mini cans brewed in December.
CEO John McLean said their best performing brews had been selected because they knew consumers loved the unique flavours.
“In the current climate, taste is king, as consumers worldwide look for affordable indulgences,” Mr McLean said.
“For many people in Australia, that has been great-tasting comfort food and our mini cans go hand-in-hand with them.
“We see this as a natural evolution of our premium Australian-made brews and by prioritising taste, we know this extension will resonate with a market seeking a smaller portion size to help celebrate everyday moments.
“The successful launch of the ginger beer mini cans in January 2020 has shown this is a proven approach with 3.4 million cans produced in the first 12 months.
“The three new additions deliver a portable pack format and are an ideal size for combining with snacking or to provide the perfect pour for mixing.”
