PENNANT RESULTS
Great Round 1 results with all 5 Divisions winning their games. Division 1 defeated Woodgate 65-48 (2 rinks), Division 2 defeated Brothers 57-42 (3 rinks), Division 3 defeated Bargara 64-50 (2.5 rinks), Division 4 defeated Bargara 43-37 (1 rink) and Division 5 defeated Bargara 43-23 (2 rinks). Well done to all players involved and we look forward to the remaining rounds. Pennant team selections for Round 2 will be posted on the Club noticeboard on Tuesday.

Champion of Champion Singles Zone Playoffs: Tony Townson travelled to Boyne Tannum on Sunday to contest the Zone playoffs. He won his first match 25-5 to progress to the final where he was narrowly beaten 25-20. Well done Tony for representing yourself and Burnett Bowls Club so well.

Tuesday 2nd August: Burnett Bonza Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) $220 Guaranteed Prizemoney – Two games of 11 ends where Winners Vs Winners and Losers Vs Losers in the second game. This month overall winners will be decided by adding the total ends scored in the first game to the total shots scored in the second game (must have won both games). 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. The 1 bowl Jackpot is currently $120
Wednesday 3rd August: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 4th August: ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. Free drink (Sponsored) included in green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 4th August: Night Bowls – bowls starts at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which is currently $522+. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made feel very welcome.

CLUB NEWS
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 10am – 9pm, Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Members Draw is now at $70 so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 5th August will be ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday the 12th August, live music will be delivered by Bradz Rock N Rhythms. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
