Radio frequency identification machines are used in the Bundaberg Library for both borrowing and returning books, making it easy for members to self check out.
How to borrow a book:
- Scan your library card at the machine
- Place a pile of books on the glass shelf
- The machine will read the tags and issue the books to the borrower
How to return a book:
- Place books into returns shelf
- The machine will automatically read the books and returns them off their card
