How to: apply for RADF

Regional Arts Development Fund
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is delivered as a partnership between the Queensland Government and eligible local Councils across the state through Arts Queensland.

Did you know there are grants available to support regional creatives and cultural activities in Bundaberg?

Through the Regional Arts Development Fund, you can apply for grants of up to $2000 from a rolling monthly program called the Quick Response Fund.

For larger initiatives and activities, Round Two of the Community Open Round is now open and closes 4 pm Sunday 9 July 2023 for projects commencing after 4 September 2023.

Successful applicants can receive funding once each year and can apply for both funding programs concurrently.

Applicants should contact Bundaberg Regional Council's RADF grants officer to make an appointment to discuss their project.

The RADF grants officer can:

  • Help determine the eligibility of both the applicant and the project and provide assistance with the application process.
  • Step you through the online application form and supply support material to help you complete your application.
  • Review your application prior to submission. This ensures you the best opportunity of successful funding.

Step one

Check out the RADF web page at www.artsbundaberg.com.au/radf

It has plenty of useful resources and information about arts grants.

Step two

Call the RADF grants officer to talk about your project.

They will guide you through the application process as well as provide answer any questions you may have.

Step three

Prepare your application online in SmartyGrants and include your budget, quotes and other supporting material.

Your application will then be sent off and reviewed.

So, what's next?

All applications are assessed against RADF criteria

  • Quality
  • Reach
  • Impact
  • Viability

Open Rounds are assessed by the RADF panel and final assessments are then progressed through a Council meeting, ensuring decisions are transparent and fair.

Successful applicants are then announced and can start bringing their projects to life!

Just remember – with RADF funding, you can tell your story, your way.

Council wants you to be successful and wants to fund incredible initiatives that grow our local arts.
