There are plenty of ways to get the kids out and about enjoying local parks these school holidays.
Make sure you hop on over to the Great Botanic Garden's Scavenger Hunt on 12 April and collect your Q&A sheet from Hinkler Hall of Aviation between 9.30 am and 10 am.
The first 200 participants to return the sheet correctly before noon will win a prize.
While you’re there, pick up the latest free Garden Kids school holiday activity sheet and get busy solving plant riddles, colouring in and even designing your own plant species.
Enjoy another scavenger hunt at Alexandra Park Zoo as well as a Storytime with a difference – you may even meet some of the residents up close.

Collect a colouring in sheet from inside the barn near the green tree frogs, featuring the Krefft’s turtle or red-winged parrot and see if you can spot any.
Those interested in more bird spotting can head off to Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park, where you can learn about different types of bird nests, discover how they are made and even make your own using natural materials.
