A new pet grooming business has opened in Bundaberg East, with owner of Salon Tails Beck Wiskar providing the perfect spot dedicated to pampering beloved four-legged companions.

A passionate and experienced dog groomer, Beck recently made Bundaberg her home after spending two decades in Central Queensland.

Having fallen in love with the region during her visits, she recognised the perfect opportunity to bring her expertise and create a haven for furry friends and their doting owners.

“One of the key factors that drew me to Bundaberg was the community's love for its pets and the opportunity to provide exceptional grooming services,” she said.

“I wanted to create a safe and comfortable environment where dogs and their owners can feel at ease.”

Beck's dedication to safety and convenience was a key factor in her choice of location, with the salon situated in an easily accessible complex along Princess Street.

“Having ample off-street parking was a must for me, it ensures that both the dogs and their owners can visit the salon without any worries,” she said.

With more than 16 years of experience as a trained and competent dog groomer, Beck brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her craft.

“I've been a trained and competent dog groomer for over 16 years, working from home in Central Queensland,” she said.

“Owning my own salon has been a long-time goal of mine.”

When asked about her passion for grooming, Beck said multiple factors were involved.

“I obviously love the dog interaction, but getting to know the owners and helping them stay on top of their dog's grooming needs is what I'm really passionate about,” she said.

“I've also offered my services to Red Collar Rescue, to help with the rescue dog's that come to them in a poor state.

“Knowledge is power, and to pass that knowledge on to my clients so that they can properly care for their dog at home is very important.”

With her family now firmly rooted in Bundaberg, Beck is determined to make Salon Tails a thriving business that serves the community for years to come.

“I hope to build my business in Bundaberg, as my family and I are here for the future,” she said.

Salon Tails is located at Shop 3, 11 Princess Street, Bundaberg East.
