Isis Central Sugar Mill has this week announced the appointment of new Chairman, Shaun Tobin.
Mr Tobin, who joined the ICSM Board of Directors in April 2016 and has served as Deputy Chairman since November 2020, was appointed following the retirement of Darren Harney.
Mr Tobin is part of a family farming partnership that supplies cane to the Mill from Wallaville.
Don Halpin, who has been a Board member since October 2009, was elected Deputy Chairman.
His family supplies cane to the Mill from Alloway.
Mr Tobin said he was grateful for the support of the board in his appointment and was confident of a smooth transition, following the great work Mr Harney had done during his tenure.
“The board thanks Mr Harney for his 22 years of diligent service and welcomes Debbie Leis to the Board to fill the casual director vacancy,” Mr Tobin said.
“ICSM will hold shareholder meetings in early August, where Mrs Leis will be introduced. All directors will be available for the meetings.
Details of locations and times for those meetings will be communicated when they have been arranged.”
