Local sporting and recreation groups, fitness trainers and health experts will be on show at the 12th annual Move it Expo in 2024.
The popular sport, health and fitness expo provides a central hub for people to find the right groups to help improve their health and wellbeing.
Sport and Recreation portfolio spokesperson Cr Vince Habermann said stallholders were being encouraged to register early to prepare for a fun and successful day.
“It is free for all sporting groups, community organisations and health and fitness experts to attend as a stallholder to showcase their services to the Bundaberg Region,” he said.
“Businesses looking to sell goods or services on the day will be charged a small fee of $25, however memberships and club related fees are exempt from this charge to encourage more groups to get involved and help create a healthier community.”
The Move it Expo, hosted by Council, is a popular event with thousands of people joining in the fun since the inaugural event in 2013.
Cr Habermann said there would be plenty on offer at the 2024 event with opportunities to try sports and fitness activities, talk to experts and enjoy various acts on the demonstration stage throughout the day.
“The community can look forward to an entertaining stage line-up with previous acts including Zumba, Clubbercise, Taekwondo, Latin dancing, the Surfing Scientist and more.
“There will also be food and drinks available from the onsite café to keep event goers fuelled during what is going to be another great Move it Expo.”
The 2024 Move it Expo will be held at the Bundaberg Multiplex on Sunday 18 February from 10 am to 1 pm.
