The Be Active Be Alive parks program is kicking off next week with an abundance of fun group workouts to help locals move into the autumn months.

Another 84 free fitness classes are on offer from Monday 26 February in parks and indoor venues across the Bundaberg Region.

For more than a decade Bundaberg Regional Council has been working with local fitness instructors across a wide range of activities and sports to provide free group exercise opportunities to the community.

The upcoming parks program will not disappoint with classes ranging from Carnival Fitness and Aerials to Box Fit, POP Tennis and Pilates.

Dance instructor and owner of Baylando Latin Fusion Hannah Reed said she was excited to share her Carnival Fitness class with the community.

“It’s an Afro Caribbean style whole body dance workout,” Hannah said.

“I’m a big believer in dance and music being available to everyone.

“Being part of a program that helps facilitate this is a perfect fit.

“Carnival Fitness is suitable for men and women of all fitness levels and even kids can join in the fun.”

Hannah welcomes everyone to come along to this vibrant and fun fitness class as part of the free Be Active Be Alive program.

“You have the choice to really push yourself or stay where is comfortable and just enjoy moving,” she said.

“Two left feet always welcome!”

The Be Active Be Alive pools program will run for a further two weeks with the park and indoor classes running from Monday 26 February until Sunday 31 March.
