Keep kicking those new year resolution fitness goals with another eight weeks of free fitness activities coming to a park or pool near you!

Bundaberg Regional Council’s popular Be Active Be Alive program is back from Monday 5 February with fitness options for all ages and abilities across the Bundaberg Region.

From pickleball to bootcamp or yoga, there is something to keep everybody moving through the early months of 2024.

Sport and Recreation portfolio spokesperson Cr Vince Habermann said the health and fitness program brought a diverse set of active classes together, enabling the Bundaberg community to explore a wide range of fitness options available across the region.

“The program will kick off with five weeks of aqua aerobics to enjoy throughout the end of the summer season, crossing over with the popular park and indoor venue classes from week four of the eight-week program,” Cr Habermann said.

“The program offers a great opportunity to try different fitness activities without contracts or cost to participants, fostering new relationships with local fitness providers.”

About the program

Council introduced Be Active Be Alive to the Bundaberg community in 2012 with support from State Government funding.

Now in its 12th year, the successful health and fitness program continues to be developed and refined under Council’s Healthy and Active charter to provide an inclusive mix of activities across our region’s parks, pools and open spaces.

Round one runs from Monday 5 February to Sunday 31 March, with the program available here.
