Tickets for this year’s Childers Festival are on sale from 10 am today, Monday 27 May, marking the countdown to one of the region’s most highly anticipated events.
Held over four days, from Thursday 25 July to Sunday 28 July, the festival is set to attract thousands of visitors to the Bundaberg Region in a celebration of music, heritage and community at Childers.
Highlights this year include a diverse line-up of performances, culinary delights and an array of ticketed events including the return of Picnic in the Vines, Sugar Mill and Cane Fire Tours and the popular Hill of Promise Long Table Dinner.
Bundaberg Regional Council Events portfolio spokesperson Cr Steve Cooper said the Childers Festival continued to showcase the region’s rich heritage in a unique blend of attractions that attendees could look forward to.
“The Childers Festival, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse cultural offerings, has been a highlight on the regional events calendar for more than two decades,” Cr Cooper said.
“This year’s multitude of events promise to uphold this tradition, providing an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends.
“The Childers Festival is a cornerstone event for our community, it not only brings together locals and visitors from all over Queensland but also supports our local businesses and artists.”
Cr Cooper said with the festival’s growing popularity early purchasing of tickets is recommended.
“Every year the popular Long Table Dinner sells out within 24 hours, so I recommend for those wanting to delve into delicious local produce to grab their tickets as soon as they go on sale on Monday,” he said.
“Another not-to-miss event will be the electrifying entertainment of A Night at the Paragon: Respect The Aretha Franklin Story which tells of the journey through Aretha Franklin’s courageous life of love, tragedy and triumph!”
Cr Cooper said other ticketed events at this year’s Childers Festival include Opera by the Lake, Picnic in the Vines, Sugar Mill and Cane Fire Tour, Paragon Theatre Tour, and Historic Childers Bus Tour.
