The Bundaberg Region Promotion Night was held in Brisbane’s Parliament House on Thursday night, with local producers, businesses and groups on show.
The seventh Bundaberg Region Promotion Night was hosted by State Members David Batt MP and Stephen Bennett MP, promoting products and initiatives from the region.
Local businesses from all facets of industry were involved, including Gidarjil, Macadamias Australia, Surf Life Saving Queensland, Endeavour Foundation and Ohana Cider House and Tropical Winery, just to name a few.
Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce President Yale Morgan said the event was a fantastic opportunity for Bundaberg Region businesses to spruik their products and also come together to support one another.
“It was a very successful evening,” he said.
“This type of event not only showcases what our local business have achieved and have to offer, but also allows them to connect with other business and look at how we can all better support one another and our region.”
On the night, Best Practice Software’s Trish Mears said it was great to be at the Bundaberg showcase event.
“We are promoting our medical software with our hub in Bundaberg,” she said.
“We are also promoting our best health app which is just about to be released for patients and doctor.”
“It is very exciting and we are hoping parliamentarians will get behind it.”
Bree Grima from Bundaberg Fruit and Veg said her team were proud to present the vibrant fruit, vegetables, herbs and nuts that come from the region.
“Different producers have come together to donate tasters for everyone,” she said.
“Then, all the food is going to Foodbank at the end of the night.
“There is so many different commodities in our region and we are encouraging everyone to thank a farmer for the meal on their plate.”
Bundaberg Region Promotion Night stage for launch of new drink flavour
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks was also in attendance and announced their new flavour, Ginger Beer and Lemon Myrtle, at the event.
The flavour has been under wraps for a while now, with a teaser video launched on their Facebook last week and then launched on Monday.
“Crafted by our Founder and Master Brewer, Cliff Fleming, this brew will not be available in supermarkets until August,” the post said.
