Wednesday got off to an eerie start for early risers this morning with fog blanketing The Hummock.
Triple M Breaky announcer Nik Stuart was up very early and was surprised by The Hummock fog.
“I was heading to the studios and couldn't see 10 metres in front of me so thought I would swing by the lookout,” Nik said.
“It was quite eerie. No Bundy, no Bargara and no beautiful coastline!”
Early-morning walkers in Bargara reported thick fog creating a damp mist. The humidity in Bundaberg at 5.30am was 97 per cent.
The hot weather is expected to continue, with maximum temperatures forecast in the mid 30s for the rest of the week.
